The Amadeo de Souza-Cardoso Municipal Museu mis inaugurating “Este é lugar onde as árvores cantam” by António Faria, on 30 June at 18h00.

Through material and symbolic cycles, the new and the rebirth, the Lisbon-based artist and designer works in a mode of design and creation strongly and anchored in drawing and nature. In this exhibition, visitors are invited to experience the transformation of the gaze, the senses, the visible and the invisible.

The exhibition will be harmonised by the sound work "Este é lugar onde as árvores cantam, Op. 74", by Nelson Jesus, with instrumentation by the Quintet with Clarinet of the Orquestra do Norte - made up of Cátia Rocha (clarinet), Diogo Coelho (violin I), Mario Braña (violin II), Helena Leão (viola) and Isabel Cupeiro (cello). The piece will be performed live at the opening.

In this series of works to be exhibited at the ASCMM, in the partnership with the National Museum of Contemporary Art and curated by Emília Ferreira and Lúcia Saldanha, António Faria gives voice to what lies between art and life, to interaction with the whole.

“Este é o lugar onde as árvores cantam” is presented as an experience, as a meditation in a place that is made up above all of the encounter between art, music and people destined for a common existence.
