Biography
Born in Lisbon, where he studied, he won an F.C.G. scholarship between 1959 and 1960, for Paris. An action painter, being unanimously regarded by
the critics as a pioneer in this area, his painting has a great concern for light and depth. Occasionally he adopted figuration which he skilfully combined
with said action feature.
